Together with our partner Anderson Hay, we are the main sponsor of TransGermania. The TransGermania is the largest and longest distance riding event currently taking place in Europe. It starts on August 24th, 2024 in Pfronten and ends on August 14th, 2024 in Holte-Spangen near Cuxhaven.
The Idea
In November 2018, in time for the annual general meeting of the Association of German Endurance Riders and Drivers, (Al)bert Fichtel published a book about the two major endurance rides through Germany: in 1976, a group of 12 participants rode from the Lüneburg Heath to Munich, and in 1990 Bert organized one Ride from Alsace to the North Sea, the “Trabweg West”. Many of the 47 participants are still involved in distance sports today.
The Trotweg West is known to many endurance riders as a historical event, but the book about the 1000km rides awakens desires, inspires fantasies and leads to the realization that the great adventures of endurance riding do not fall from heaven, but have to be organized.
This resulted in the “TransGermania” project. In 2024 there will be another endurance ride through Germany, from the Alps to the sea.
For the 2024 season we support the EWU Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein as a squad sponsor. We are looking forward to a successful season
